Sales Engineer - Spain

Primary Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand materials, processes, applications, and technical specifications of Metal Injection Molding (MIM), Investment Casting (IC), and Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM) technologies and their suitability.
• Identify potential applications for Metal Injection Molding (MIM), Investment Casting (IC), and Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM) technologies.
• Visit potential customer locations and conduct customer education presentations and technical discussions to evaluate given applications.
• Log sales promotion activities and review RFQ/Quote pipeline on a weekly basis.
• Conduct marketing campaigns promoting capabilities through email campaigns, webinars, phone calls, etc., and evaluate the efficacy of these efforts periodically.
• Use digital marketing platforms efficiently and coordinate brand promotion activities to generate potential leads. Utilize prospecting tools like internet-based customer databases, web searches, cold calls, and networking. Generate a monthly report covering activities such as the number of prospective customers evaluated, sales promotion visits made, brochures/samples mailed, etc.
• After successful closure of orders, closely interact with teams at the plant and customer teams for a smooth and timely introduction of programs into production. Arrange all necessary information, including smooth and precise communication between relevant teams.
• Develop suitable sales promotion plans for the region, including participating in trade shows, print media advertisements targeted to specific industries, etc. These plans should be finalized by the end of March each year and implemented between April and March of the respective year.

Additional Duties

• Provide after-sales support to existing customers. Maintain a high level of customer confidence through continuous, professional, and precise communications.
• Involve closely with quality/delivery issues when they arise and support customers in all possible ways to retain customer confidence. Engage plant personnel on both technical and commercial issues as needed while dealing with quality/delivery issues.
• Closely coordinate with the design/engineering team on design change requests from customers.
• Coordinate between the customer accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) team when delinquency in accounts receivable arises.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a degree or diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, coupled with 6-8 years of industrial experience in sales, customer support, or product development. A strong grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals and a deep understanding of MIM, IC, CIM processes, applications, metallurgy, and metal applications are essential.
