Job Title: Vice President of Finance
Location: Massachusetts
Salary: $180 – $200k
This rapidly growing, venture-backed company specializes in next-generation additive manufacturing technology, combining automation engineering, computational design, and polymer science to create highly customizable materials and products, ranging from medical devices to luxury fashion. The VP of Finance/Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial landscape. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will oversee all aspects of finance, including financial reporting, accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR), tax, audit, and investor relations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash management, forecasting, and optimizing cash flows.
- Lead the company’s budgeting process, ensuring financial resources align with strategic goals.
Strategic Finance:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and evaluate investment opportunities that support growth strategies.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decision-making and business development.
- Develop financial forecasting models to guide long-term planning and promote sustainable growth.
Investor Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, ensuring transparent financial communication and securing capital for future growth.
- Prepare investor presentations and materials that highlight financial performance and growth potential.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Develop and implement robust risk management strategies to protect the company’s assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Oversee the annual financial audit, working with external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Operational Efficiency:
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, streamline financial operations, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Implement effective financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy across all financial activities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA is a plus.
- Proven success in a similar role, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial modeling tools.
