Our Timeline
2006
Phillip Hodson established Kensington Consulting Ltd, with the idea of Engineers recruiting Engineers, to serve the UK Engineering & Manufacturing industry. The three co-founders came from these sectors, including CEO Phillip Hodson who worked for Caterpillar, Alexander Dennis, and Perkins Engines.
2008
Kensington Consulting Ltd gained its REC accreditation, the first recruitment company in the Northwest to do so.
2009
The first consultant achieves CertRP status
2012
Winner of the Recruit Rank Overall Recruitment Company
2014
Office moves from Ackhurst Park, Chorley to Rutherford Point, Buckshaw Village. Kensington Additive is established, serving the global additive manufacturing industry.
2015
Our employee count is now in double figures for the first time.
2016
The office is expanded to accommodate more employees. 1st international placement in the AM industry and 1st AM trade show attended.
2020
We purchase a 3D printer and support a nuclear company with prototyping.
2021
Kensington Additive extends its service to the Machine Tool market across North America and Europe
