Senior MES Engineer

As part of the MES Team and project teams, the Senior System Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within their area of expertise. Working independently, this role focuses on meeting project goals within the predetermined time and scope. By engaging with clients, the Senior MES Engineer identifies their expectations and needs, developing effective and efficient solutions that are then translated into customized programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop effective and efficient software and technical specifications that align with client expectations and needs.
• Document activities carried out within the framework of the project.
• Supervise System Engineers on the project, ensuring each team member contributes qualitatively under your guidance.
• Ensure adherence to predetermined project planning and procedures.
• Participate in project meetings, aiming to achieve consensus on the most effective and efficient solutions for the client.
• Assist in defining project scope with the Sales Team and realistically budget the actual costs, dedicating approximately 10% of time to this techno-commercial role.

Ideal Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the MES/MOM field.
• A Master’s degree in Engineering is preferable, or a professional Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with an affinity for software development.
• Expertise in code development with at least one of the commonly used technologies/programming languages (C#, AngularJS, SQL, Python).
• Experience in defining implementation strategies and knowledge of MES architecture solutions is a plus.
• Understanding of automation systems (DCS, PLCs, SCADA, and Batch Execution systems) is beneficial but not required.
• Experience working with more than one MES technology (e.g., Traksys, Siemens Opcenter Process/Pharma, AVEVA MES) is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Must be a European citizen or hold a valid long-term European work and stay permit.
• Preferred location: Netherlands, Belgium, France, or Germany.
