Are you an experienced technical sales professional with a passion for metal additive manufacturing?
We’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to lead business development and key account growth across the U.S. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on building new relationships, opening doors into complex industries, and driving sales in a long-cycle technical environment.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for selling metal AM powders, parts, or systems to advanced manufacturing customers across the aerospace, defence, rocket, and high-performance automotive sectors. This is a hands-on role focused on business development rather than people management, perfect for a motivated hunter who wants to make a tangible impact in the rapidly evolving metal AM space.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business opportunities across the U.S. in sectors such as aerospace, DOD, rocket manufacturing, supercars, and F1.
- Manage the full sales cycle for metal AM powders, parts, or systems (LPBF/SLM).
- Develop strong technical and commercial relationships with customers, from first contact to close.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs.
- Maintain detailed sales forecasts, reports, and account activity updates.
- Ensure compliance with ITAR and other export control requirements.
Requirements
- 7 years’ experience in additive manufacturing, metallurgy, or advanced materials sales.
- Proven success in selling metal AM powders, parts, or systems across long sales cycles in the U.S.
- Strong technical grounding, ideal for candidates who have transitioned from a metallurgy, engineering, or process/application engineering background into sales.
- Experience with LPBF/SLM systems.
- Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and grow business in highly technical markets.
- ITAR compliant (U.S. person).
