Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Salary: $90k
We’re looking for a skilled Service Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair CNC machine tools both at customer sites and in our facility. You’ll be hands-on, tackling technical challenges efficiently and with high quality. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll also contribute ideas for improving our processes and ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot CNC machine tool issues.

Perform installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance—delivering quality, timely service every time.

Train customers and team members on proper installation, maintenance, and service techniques.

Use service software to document work, report findings, and track parts—reporting should be completed the same day, or within 24 hours at the latest.

Keep customers informed: notify them of your arrival, provide updates during the job, and ensure everything is clear before you leave.

Collaborate with teammates, internal departments, and outside vendors to solve technical problems.

Actively look for ways to improve our service, tools, and processes—your ideas are welcome.

Continue developing your skills through training, reading, and hands-on learning.

Take care of company tools, vehicles, and property—cleanliness and upkeep matter.

Be flexible—help out with related tasks or in other departments when needed.
What You Need

Associate’s degree or certification in CNC machine tool troubleshooting, installation, and repair.

At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with machine tools.

A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to drive for business (including use of your own vehicle until a company vehicle is assigned).

Strong communication skills—comfortable interacting with customers, vendors, and peers.

Self-motivated, organized, and reliable.

A team player who can collaborate across departments.

Competency with PCs and job-related software for programming and documentation.

Physically capable of frequent bending, standing, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs independently, heavier with assistance).

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on customer needs.

Able to travel for training, out-of-state or international service calls, and cross-division support. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid passport.

Ability to secure a major personal credit card (Visa, AmEx, or MasterCard) for business-related expenses and travel.
