The Role
As Plant Manager, you’ll lead operations within a complex machine assembly plant, overseeing the production of advanced, automated processing systems. You’ll be responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring build quality and reliability, and developing a culture of excellence across all teams, from assembly and fabrication to testing and shipping.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across machine assembly, fabrication, testing, and shipping areas.
- Lead and mentor teams of assemblers, technicians, engineers, and production supervisors.
- Ensure equipment and systems are built to exacting quality, performance, and safety standards.
- Optimize workflow, resource planning, and production scheduling to meet customer deadlines.
- Partner with engineering to support new product introductions and design-for-manufacture improvements.
- Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant workplace in accordance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Manage budgets, production KPIs, and plant performance metrics to achieve financial and operational targets.
About You
- Proven experience in a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or Production Manager role within a machine assembly, equipment manufacturing, or automation environment.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and systems assembly processes.
- Demonstrated success in leading large teams and improving manufacturing efficiency.
- Skilled in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
