A company that is a leading supplier of metal injection molded (MIM) products is hiring a Business Development Engineer to drive revenue in Italy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Develop a thorough understanding of materials, processes, applications, and technical specifications of Metal Injection Molding (MIM), Investment Casting (IC), and Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM) technologies.
- Application Identification: Identify potential applications for MIM, IC, and CIM technologies.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct visits to potential customer locations and deliver educational presentations and technical discussions to evaluate applications.
- Sales Promotion: Log sales promotion activities and review RFQ/Quote pipeline weekly.
- Marketing Campaigns: Conduct marketing campaigns, including email campaigns, webinars, and phone calls, to promote company capabilities and evaluate their efficacy.
- Digital Marketing: Utilize digital marketing platforms and coordinate brand promotion activities to generate leads. Use prospecting tools like online databases, web searches, cold calls, and networking. Generate monthly reports on prospective customers, sales promotion visits, and outreach efforts.
- Order Management: Ensure smooth and timely introduction of programs into production after order closure by facilitating communication between teams and customers.
- Sales Promotion Plan: Develop and implement an annual sales promotion plan, including participation in trade shows and targeted print media advertisements.
Additional Duties:
- Customer Support: Provide after-sales support to maintain high customer confidence through continuous, professional, and precise communication.
- Issue Resolution: Address quality/delivery issues promptly and support customers to retain their confidence, involving plant personnel as needed.
- Design Coordination: Work closely with the design/engineering team at the plant on customer design change requests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 6-8 years of industrial experience, preferably in sales, customer support, or product development.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, MIM, IC, and CIM processes, and applications in manufacturing. Basic understanding of metallurgy and metal applications is essential.
- Sales Aptitude: Strong sales skills and people skills are crucial.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to business scenarios and work towards targets.
