Job Title: Quality Manager II

Salary: $100k
An established and innovative manufacturer of precision automated processing systems is seeking a Quality Engineer II to join its team in Somerset, WI. This role is integral to ensuring product quality and reliability by developing and executing effective testing strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet high standards of performance and customer satisfaction.
Position Overview:
As a Quality Engineer II, you will conduct inspections and implement quality assurance models for raw materials, in-process items, and finished products. You will also support the development of quality control policies, assess production limitations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and Quality.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases from requirements and specifications

Perform a variety of testing types including functional, regression, integration, usability, performance, and security testing

Document and track defects using industry-standard bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)

Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot issues

Participate in code reviews and support test automation frameworks

Drive quality initiatives and process improvements

Contribute within an Agile/Scrum development environment

Coordinate inspection and testing methods and sampling plans

Lead CAPA initiatives and internal auditing functions

Specify and maintain inspection/testing equipment to ensure customer standards are met

Lead product and process qualifications, including PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and more

Provide periodic quality reporting using statistical analysis (CpK, SPC)

Support training programs and contribute to technical documentation

Conduct supplier quality evaluations and corrective actions
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline (or equivalent experience)

8+ years of quality-related experience

Demonstrated leadership in quality assurance, including statistical analysis, inspection techniques, and equipment specification

Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or SQF Edition 9 certifications

Strong interpersonal, organizational, written communication, and computer skills
