Job Title: Service Engineer

The Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site or remote maintenance and repair support for CNC machine tools. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and customer service skills. Travel to client locations is frequent, and responsibilities often include training and collaboration with customer-side engineers.

Deliver maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation support for CNC machine tools either at customer locations or remotely.

Create, update, and maintain accurate documentation of technical service information.

Develop and analyze both regular and ad hoc service reports to support operational efficiency.

Collaborate with customer service teams and work in tandem with client-side service engineers.

Provide training and technical support for the installation and maintenance of newer machine tool models.

Foster strong communication and customer service relationships with clients.

Manage challenging customer situations with professionalism; respond promptly to client needs and actively seek feedback to improve service.

Perform additional duties as required by the role.
Qualifications and Experience:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred.

A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.

Experience with machine tools from brands such as DMG, Mori Seiki, or with controls such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens is highly desirable.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to excellent customer service.

Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels, both in person and by phone.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, handle frequent changes or delays, and manage competing demands in a dynamic work environment.
